Tomislav Simikić lives in Lopare and works in a private internet club. Two years ago, Tomislav has attended a promotional seminar of Partner Microcredit Foundation. The purpose of seminar was to explain the technology of growing and profitability of planting soft fruits. Then Tomislav has decided to engage in soft fruit production in order to increase his household budget.

He was very cheerful and he welcomed Partner's officers during their first visit to Tomislav because he has already decided that he will grow 3 dunums of raspberries at the land next to the family house.

 Although Tomislav did not have any experience in agricultural business, with the technical assistance provided by technical assistants for agriculture of Partner, the hardworking and honest Tomislav prepared the soil and planted the seedlings by himself. This summer Tomislav expects the first harvest and income which would cover expenses that he had so far. Several Tomislav's neighbours and friends joined the project of soft fruit planting. Also, he received full support from professional Department of Lopare Municipality.

"Currently in the area of Lopare Municipality there are raspberry's producers, but in the future there will be even more producers and certainly this production will be expanded. I hope that this project will be successfully implemented and that everyone will be satisfied. We are lucky to have Partner microcredit foundation as a partner in the project whose technical assistants for agriculture have very rich experience and knowledge, especially in the field of planting raspberries. They serve loan beneficiaries and assist them to develop agricultural business and educate themselves this business. Most importantly, Partner and its technical assistants for agriculture establish contacts with potential fruit buyers", says Tomislav.
